Yarragon Pre-School Philosophy Statement

Yarragon Preschool provides a safe and positive environment which allows children to feel
happy and enjoy their Kindergarten experience. We provide a program to cater for the needs
and interests of children, acknowledging that each child is special and unique. We provide a
flexible program that is multicultural, free from bias and provides a mix of indoor and outdoor
activities. Children are encouraged to work at their own level socially, emotionally, physically,
intellectually and creatively. Yarragon Preschool utilizes routine times and structure to provide
opportunities for children to develop self-help and social skills.

Yarragon Preschool is located next door to Yarragon Primary School . This great location allows
for interaction between the School and Preschool. Such interaction includes a Buddy Program
between the Preschoolers and the Grade 4-5’s which operates from term 2- 4 during the year.
This program helps to ensure a positive transition from Preschool to the School environment for
the children.
